Made for Epic MegaJam 2023 in one week with a team of 5. The prompt was 'antiquated future' so we decided to remake pinball in UE5- a game of the past in the engine of the far flung future of 2023. In keeping with that spirit, we tried to use modern technologies- Lumen, Nanite, and the then-in-beta Substrate materials system.
I was responsible for the game's development- so I handled art & audio implementation, built the game from design ideas from the rest of the team, and delegated tasks to the other programmer on the team.
Ultimately, we as a team are happy with the finished product. If we were given more time to expand the game, we'd make the table larger, add more interactable doodads, juice up the game with more particle effects & hit stop, and further improve the quality of our assets.
